Revive Your Dreams: The Key to Future Success

16 Jul

The power of a dream… Many have forgotten how to dream. Growing up through adolescence as children we all had powerful imaginations. We all would dream of someday being a doctor, lawyer, policeman, fireman, soldier, etc. We would dream of having more and being more. Maybe of being the wealthiest person in the world. But no matter, we all dreamed of something or becoming someone. The reality of those dreams seamed to fade as we got older. Some dreams were stolen by others, circumstances, or maybe unbelief. But no matter, a dream can become renewed, it can become ignited again, or it can be a brand-new dream. What’s important is that we dream again!

Below are a few quotes that hopefully create in all of us the will to dream again. For without a dream, a vision of what we desire in life, we will remain stagnant. But having a dream starts the engine that could lead us to what our imaginations have wanted for us all along. Having a dream is where it all begins and is most powerful.

“Your dream is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” Albert Einstein

“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-down horse ridden into the ground.” Langston Hughes

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” Abraham Lincoln

“Shoot for the sky, because even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” Les Brown

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer.” Harriet Tubman

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can achieve it, you can become it.” William Arthur Ward

“Dare to dream.” unknown

Hopefully these quotes encourage us all to believe in our dreams, pursue them with courage, and then turn our dreams into reality through action. For our dreams are powerful and are the launch pad for our future success!

Building Your Vision for Life

13 Nov

Building a vision for your life begins with good questions. Good questions enhance the probability of reaching a specific vision. When envisioning your future, good questions will help target where you would like to live, business or career goals, educational needs, relationships, and activities, to name a few. The more specific you make the questions the less time you will waste on reaching your destination. For instance, start with why?, then, what are the benefits, what are the drawbacks, etc., you get the picture. The farther you drill down in question asking the better the answer. Thomas Kuhn said, “The answers you get depend upon the questions you ask.” So ask as many questions as possible on each area of your vision.

Once you have a solid vision for your life and its goals things will begin to happen because you have established the who, what, how, when, and why of your life. Passion has taken the place of procrastination, you will become exciting to be around because people who know what they want and know where they’re going create excitement. However, just having the vision will not be enough. You’re just getting started!
