Building Your Vision for Life

13 Nov

Building a vision for your life begins with good questions. Good questions enhance the probability of reaching a specific vision. When envisioning your future, good questions will help target where you would like to live, business or career goals, educational needs, relationships, and activities, to name a few. The more specific you make the questions the less time you will waste on reaching your destination. For instance, start with why?, then, what are the benefits, what are the drawbacks, etc., you get the picture. The farther you drill down in question asking the better the answer. Thomas Kuhn said, “The answers you get depend upon the questions you ask.” So ask as many questions as possible on each area of your vision.

Once you have a solid vision for your life and its goals things will begin to happen because you have established the who, what, how, when, and why of your life. Passion has taken the place of procrastination, you will become exciting to be around because people who know what they want and know where they’re going create excitement. However, just having the vision will not be enough. You’re just getting started!
